Re: Why Firefox is in hurry?
alishakcarter wrote:Thank you all for replyingEven i was also using Firefox from a long time but i recently switched to Chrome due to these updating issues.
What "issues"?
I have "updating" turned OFF on FF and all my add-ons.
Just do it myself maybe once a month.
I used to have some problems with some add-ons not working after an update but that's been quite a while and I run a lot of them. To many really. FF takes longer to start up than I like, but that's a small thing to me.
I usually run Mozbackup before updating so if I do run into a problem I can just "roll back" till the problem is fixed but I NEVER had to do that. Mozbackup backups all my themes, add-ons, settings, tweaks, everything.
Do you have "issues" with windows updating?
Do you have "issues" with your anti-virus updating?
Do you have problems updating "other" software?
Chrome is good and I recommend it to a lot of people. It's just not for me.
People say it uses less memory, but that's just not true. It uses memory differently, but ends up using as much or a lot of times more than FF.
I took EVERYTHING google off my machine. If you run ANYTHING google, Chrome, toolbar, Earth, ANYTHING, there a thing called google updater that runs in the background "phoning home" CONSTANTLY. Don't let the "updating" part fool you. They can "call" it anything, but what it is IS spyware and it's tough to get it to STOP.
It replicates itself just like a virus.
Want to see just how active it is? Open "event viewer" on your computer and look at the bottom. This thing STAYS BUSY and I'll guarantee it's doing this on 90+% of computers out there.
If your computer is slow this "could" be the reason. I don't think it's malicious, it's just "tracking" YOU.

Re: 10 Tips on picking the best Affiliate Program for you
2. Commission rates - It isn’t always about the commission rate. if a program gives you a 75% commission, but the products are worth $5, then there is no use pursuing that program. If, on the other hand, the commission is 25%, but the products o for $100 or so, then you have yourself a good deal.
3. Assess the market - Before jumping onto an affiliate program, consider what products are you going to promote, and what their market worth is. Run a Google search and find out whether people are looking for such stuff or not.
4. Product range - An affiliate program that has a good range of products to sell might be beneficial in the long run.
5. Context - promoting products to people who are actually interested in them. The products that you want to promote should relate strongly to the topic you are writing about. So before picking an affiliate program, ask yourself this. What is my audience? What do people come to my blog for? And what kind of products (if any) they might be interested in?
6. You must endorse the products - Before signing up for an affiliate program, take a good look at the product or service you’ll be endorsing. This is a very important step. You need to be motivated enough yourself so that others will follow your example. Believe in the product. That’s how you can convince others.
7. Quality - The type of products you promote says a lot about yourself. The products you are going to sell should be good quality. And so should the sites you link to.
8. Management - you should look for information about the program’s management. Feel free to contact the affiliate manager. An unresponsive affiliate manager is not a good sign. For any company, a relation with its affiliate partners is important.
9. Viewership - the demographics of your audience in very important. Not all programs ship products to all countries, not even Amazon. If a product is not available to your audience in a particular country, then that’s just your efforts down the drain.
10. References - ask the program manager to supply you with the contact information of a few of their top affiliates. Using these guidelines each and every time I choose an affiliate program has enabled me to be successful and rarely be surprised.

Re: Phone Psychic Pseaks Psuccess!
Hey all! I'm new to this forum but not to working at home. Been a "telecommuter" for almost 20 years now, boy how time flies. I write, blog, design... pretty much anything in that computer/artistic wheelhouse.
Recently, one of the companies I work for has been developing a phone psychic line -- completely independent of all the other psychic lines out there. This company acquired "chat line" technology they'd like to use to build a platform where work-at-home people can create their own listings to offer services such as psychic readings or advice column-type stuff (for entertainment purposes only!) at nominal rates so that the majority of the money billed will go to the individual.
Flipping the usual paradigm around, here. The idea is that the platform will be automated and people will market themselves & create their own schedules & deal with customer service, etc so that this company can save on those expenses, and thus take a smaller percentage than most similar sites do. The hope is to attract work-at-home talent, perhaps find people who are unsatisfied with dispatch companies, and ready to build their own business.
Of course, other sites kinda do this already but this one'll have instant traffic and more options and blah blah. Not really sure, exactly, how things are going to work... Which is why I'm posting here to you good folks.
Has anyone ever worked as a phone psychic before? I'd love to know what your experience was. These companies hide their hiring/payment practices pretty well so I am really hoping to connect with those who've been on the inside, preferably recently. I'm interested to know EVERYTHING you can tell me!! Pay, hours, customers, feedback, etc. Whatever your experience, I'm very interested!
Also -- I'd like to know what phone psychics want from a service like I've described. Since we're building from the ground up, we can add any options or policies we can think of, really. Skies the limit. If you've got advice suggestions ideas or even warnings, by all means, lay 'em on me pleeeease!!
Finally, if you haven't worked as a psychic but are interested in trying it... I'd love to hear where you're coming from, and how a website might be able to bring you closer to your work-at-home goals.
Thanks very much for your consideration. I really welcome your input and hope to meet some cool people soon. Take care and have a great day!

Re: Six points for a website Rank Rising key
Good content from a Web site plays the most important role for the generation of traffic, and the best content is the original whose uniqueness and relevance can contribute a great deal to that website to face competitors less. Because the search engine will provide the most important and relative to the search engines results, the original one precedence to be displayed by the search engine.
2 Proper keywords
The keywords must be properly placed in the original content. Otherwise, Web site does not appear high in the search range as search engine can search everything. The adequate disposal of keywords also must have in mind when you write articles for website marketing.
3. Basic optimization
The importance of optimization of Web sites will be listed after the content of the Web site. The construction and optimization of a web site must only meet the basic requirement of some major search engines. What must be taken into account in first place in the content of the Web site instead of the optimization of Web sites?
4. Valid presentation
When it is built or rebuilt, the website for major search engines will be presented validly that can bring the greatest amount of traffic. The presentation of the major search engines can also be updated auto which can be consulted to administrators professionals who provide web design, development and marketing.
5. High quality backlinks
Quality backlinks can contribute significantly to the generation of traffic a Web site though PR for Google, is not the most important measure. The range higher will have a web site if the backlinks of high quality which can have.
6. Content update
Web site must also update with original content of high quality on a regular basis when he wins a high rank. Then this high range can be kept or sensitization.

Re: How to increase traffic to website?
Meanwhile, I go back over to my blog and mailing list and say "Hey! I just wrote this great post for my friend Dan at his blog. Go check it out!" My readers then go to your site and discover your great content.
You get content for your site you didn't have to write, and depending on the following each of us has established, we might both get some traffic. In addition to the traffic, I get a link that could help with my SEO rankings.
Now, a good guest poster will also help to respond to the comments that ensue from his post which helps his own engagement as well as making it easier for the site owner, especially if the site owner isn't as familiar with the topic presented by the guest poster.
If you think about it, guest posting really is the same as article marketing. The only difference is that you're not spinning (something that's common, but more and more being frowned upon), and you're submitting a unique article to a blog. Blogs tend to have more traffic (and more targeted traffic) than article directories anyway so you wind up getting the SEO benefit AND the direct traffic from the link.
Guest posting really is quickly becoming more effective than article marketing and the preferred method for those not wanting to "spam" the web with poor content.

Re: 5 Important Rules to rember when building your website
1) Content is King don't use splash pages
Splash pages are often the first pages you see when you arrive at a website. They often have serene inviting images and other times it's where they start promoting their products at you. Words like "welcome" or "click here to enter" are often displayed on these pages to try and give the website a bricks and mortar feel. In fact, they are just another page on your website which is offering NO VALUE to your potential customers and so gives them a decision, to click ENTER or BACK. Many people out their will click back and they're gone forever.
Do not let your visitors have a reason to click on the "back" button! Give them the value of your site up front, always over deliver with the content on your front page so as to entice your customers to come in and look around.
2) Give first, sell later
People online today are getting more and more internet savvy and they understand about clickable banners, affiliate links and the like. So DO NOT try selling on your front page and do not load your page up with promotions or you will just put people off. Apart from the fact that you reduce the space to provide good valuable content you will give the impression that you view your customers as walking credit cards and nobody likes this.
Instead, provide more valueable content than ads on your site make sure that all your links are relevant to your content, so that your visitors feel that they want to buy instead of being pushed to buy.
3) K.I.S.S keep- it-simple-stupid
Make sure your site is simple an easy to navigate. If your website looks confusing or is hard to navigate people will simply leave. we have many of the older generation coming online now as well as millions of others who can surf the web but are not computer literate.
So this means if your site looks hard all these people will leave and find a site that is easier to navigate.
4) Remember most of your customers don't know they want to buy
When the internet was launched it was billed as "the information web" and was supposed to give people access to FREE information. OK so we've come along a bit but many many people out their only ever intend to get free information from the net. So can we convert these people into customers? of course. All you need to do is "GIVE THEM FREE INFORMATION" because after all that's what they are after. If you over deliver on GOOD free information you will build a relationship with your customers and they will trust you more than someone who is just sell, sell, sell.
They may not buy from immediately but when they are ready to part with their hard earned cash they will remember you.
5) Personalise your site
When you build your website let your customers know who you are. Post a picture of yourself and a short bio, let people know what part of the world your from and what you want to achieve from your website. You could have a feedback or comment section to make people feel like they are a part of your website, and also if they post a comment they are more likely to come back to your site to check other comments and responses.
So let people know who you are so that they can build a relationship with you and your website.
In Closing
So when building your website treat your customers like you would want to be treated. Over deliver on good free content. Don't go the hard sell or you will alienate people. k.i.s.s make sure your grandmother could navigate your website, and let your customers know who you are and that their is a real person behind your website.
And most important of all HAVE FUN

Re: HYIP - Is their an honest way?
The truth is Cosmo (I doubt that is your name but have nothing else to call you so please accept my apologies) the FTC is very clear about HYIPs. They are illegal. Every one that has come along has either been shut down, with litigation to boot, or has collapsed under its own weight because the model can't sustain itself.
I won't go into the reasons why the model is not sustainable because they are beyond the scope of his thread and quite honestly, most people without a serious finance background (which I have) wouldn't understand them anyway.
The only reasons you still see some HYIPs running are either because...
1. They haven't reached their breaking point yet (usually 6 months to a year)
2. Haven't been tracked down by the feds yet.
This is not my opinion. This is fact. You can choose to ignore it if you like, but it won't change the facts.
HYIPs are just bad news...period.

Re: What is the fastest way to get paid
However, I have been marketing on the internet for a few years and I can tell you that there is no easy solution.
It may be large, but is a business and it must work and devote to it. Most will not be nothing for their efforts over months.(On legitimate companies that is). I do not mean for "make money fast" schemes.
On the other hand don't be fooled by them. They are a total waste of time and money.
There are some ways that you can earn money if you want to work in a call center home. There are few. I worked for one a little more than one year. Pay every two weeks. LiveOps.com. is not easy to come up with them, but hire every once in a while. They were looking for health insurance agents licensed at the time, and I was one. However, I only worked answering business calls of info.
If you like to write, try to associated content. They are not so easy for pay now because they have become so big with so many writers.
Also recorded in separate sites. See what is hiring people for. Many want help with writing, rewriting the article
AD posting and much more.
I hope this helps!
