We hear about these websites all the time. You search Google and see "three hundred and sixty million" websites for the keyword "work from home".

Another "four hundred and ninety three million" for the keyword "home business". Now we see these offers all the time. I mean that is a lot! Do you agree?

Time to pick out the gems out of the junk... We see crazy websites really selling you on some stuff. Honestly I have fallen victim to some of these websites that promise the world. The site itself looked so pro I thought it was legitimate.

Come to find out some of these business are out to make a short term gain off of several thousands of people. They may have gotten us for twenty bucks a month or something like that, if they would have played their cards right they could have given us a proper business and made five dollars off of thousands of us recurring commissions instead of the short term gain.

So that is what I look for in "Home Business Opportunities, Best Work From Home Jobs" websites. I look for a business that is going to want me to remain a member of their business forever. That means long term gains. They want me to earn money so that way they earn money vs the ladder, the business that works you over for the short term gain.

Given the proper business opportunity, you can succeed! Given the proper schedule you will succeed!

The schedule is as follows.

1. Write 2 articles a day every day for 5 days a week.

2. Write 2 press releases a day for 5 days a week.

3. Post ads in the top 3 classifieds ad sites a day 5 days a week.

4. post ads in top 3 forums a day 5 days a week.

Follow this schedule and see what happens in 2 weeks.. now imagine 3 months! Now imagine 6 months! Follow this schedule and I can guarantee you will be surprised how much money you will earn.

I use Serif Page Plus, Get it to convert to http website and then upload it using FileZilla.

Alternatively use Serif Web Plus which will also upload it for you.

Both need no programming knowledge and both have a free starter edition as a free download from Serif.

There is another free editor called Kompozer that also uploads for you, also available free from the web.

I'm a 25-year-old college grad with a severe physical impairment (cerebral palsy) looking for a legitimate, flexible, decent-paying home-based job, and I could use some guidance and direction.

A few months ago I finally decided to start looking for work taking my disability into account. I hadn't done that until then because my disability has no effect on my mental capacity; it only affects my stamina to some degree, not to mention my employment options in general--I cannot drive and therefore must work from home (at least for the foreseeable future).

In addition to a few freelance opportunities I've been involved with since I graduated from college two years ago, I've recently completed a seasonal commitment with Alpine Access, the well-known call outsourcing firm, taking calls for 1-800-FLOWERS. At first I thought I had found the perfect job, but a couple of weeks into it, I slowly realized it wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Due to my disability, I just couldn't make my body move quickly enough to get up to Alpine's suggested standards, and I found it almost impossible to think, type, and speak all at once, while time was of the essence.

Before I was trained for the FLOWERS position, I had been in touch with a company called J. Lodge, a call analysis firm. I found their site through some disability page, because J. Lodge prefers to hire disabled employees. J. Lodge contacted me in late November, about 5-6 weeks after I had sent in my resume. The woman I spoke with about being an analyst immediately picked up on my technological expertise (I love computers), and the conversation quickly shifted to the idea of me being a technical support rep for a cable Internet provider J. Lodge apparently works with. At the time, it looked like something I would enjoy and excel at. About a week later, someone else called me and asked me lots of questions about my technological knowledge and expertise, saying that the man in charge of hiring reps would soon be in touch. He never called.

Working with Alpine Access, however, has helped me see that a position as a tech rep wouldn't have worked. Because of my disability, as I said, I can't speak, type, and think under pressure all at once.

That said, I think something like J. Lodge's call analysis would probably be ideal for me, since the calls are recorded and therefore analyzed after the fact. Something also tells me scheduling would be more flexible, perhaps quota-based, especially because J. Lodge prefers to hire disabled employees and would therefore most likely understand my limitations at least somewhat more than Alpine. Working as an agent has helped me see that I can't work any more than 3-4 hours at a time without needing to recharge a bit (an hour or two); with Alpine I would very frequently work 5 hours at once (one day I worked 6 hours), with only a 10-minute paid break thrown in there somewhere.

The bad thing about J. Lodge, as you may be able to see, is that they don't seem to be very good about keeping in touch with people. I recently submitted a new copy of my cover letter and resume and left a message with the human resources department, but still no contact.

Having said all that, has anyone dealt (whether positively or negatively) with J. Lodge? Does anybody know of similar companies providing home-based call monitoring and analysis services? I'm having my doubts about J. Lodge, no matter how good they look on paper and the Web.

Any other tips or job ideas most welcome.

4) Remember most of your customers don't know they want to buy

All you need to do is "GIVE THEM FREE INFORMATION" because after all that's what they are after. If you over deliver on GOOD free information you will build a relationship with your customers and they will trust you more than someone who is just sell, sell, sell.

They may not buy from immediately but when they are ready to part with their hard earned cash they will remember you.

5) Personalise your site

When you build your website let your customers know who you are. Post a picture of yourself and a short bio, let people know what part of the world your from and what you want to achieve from your website. You could have a feedback or comment section to make people feel like they are a part of your website, and also if they post a comment they are more likely to come back to your site to check other comments and responses.

So let people know who you are so that they can build a relationship with you and your website.

So when building your website treat your customers like you would want to be treated. Over deliver on good free content. I know a few people that do well with adwords and stuff, but those same people spend countless hours building web sites and tweaking them to drive traffic. They have dozens of sites and things. I think everyone has to do what works for them. I find that kind of thing tedious and boring.

I belong to a few communities, where they let you put those kind of ad codes on your pages, and so I did set some up long long time ago, just as a test. I get quite a lot of people to my pages, however, last time I logged into google to see how that was going, I had a "pool" of money there for them to pay me amounting to a whopping $12, I think they don't even send your money till you get to $100 or so.

I just MIGHT see a check from that mabye before I kick the bucket if I stick around another 10 years or so. I can't complain I didn't do any more then learn to set up the ads on a few sites and I don't spend a lot of time sending traffic there.

I personally have build a good income online over the years, but I'm the one they say does NOT exist. I'm a full time network marketer. Everyone has to find what works for them and I LOVE this industry. Not everyone does.

I took a quick look to the links in the signature. Do you mind if I make a small suggestion?

I know you did much startegies by pulling on the traffic, but their sites have a lot of ads. There are two disadvantages to this:

(1) People can look at your blog and see all the ads and click away. It may seem very hard, you try to advertise.

(2) The blogs do not have much content, i.e., words. Google Web crawlers/spiders have a time very, very difficult to find out how this index, as well as classify this. What you see is image. And unless the images have tags on them, key words, no can do a lot with him.

My recommendation would be that your blog posts are words more and less ads or push ads down lower. Google bots crawl from top to bottom, from left to right. If everyone sees advertisements and images for the top half of your site, you can move the following site.

A (not a salespitch) review of each site you're promoting: what makes that offers, when is the payment, what is the cost to join, how well people have made money with him, something interesting that makes that particular single site compared to others as a benefit, etc..

When you have more content from the word, especially with keywords - use no more 3-5% of words per post - then google will have an easier time crawling and indexing of your site.

Working From Home - Managing Your Time

When working from home it can seem very difficult to manage your time. There can be countless distractions, things that just get in the way. Many of these are seemingly unavoidable. In fact, it is because you are at home that these little things are getting in the way.

So how do you manage your time when working at home? Well, the first thing you have to realise is that if you are not organised to quite a high level then your time will just become more chaotic.

You see, when you worked in a nine-to-five you were paid for sitting around doing nothing, at times anyway. At home, with a home business to run, you have to be accountable for your time.

So take a look at the following pointers and see if you can use them when managing time when working at home:

1. Whatever you do, when you are working, turn off the email, instant messaging, television, whatever. You do not need these distractions, and they will kill your time.

2. If you have children, schedule them. Pick a time every day when you totally devote yourself to them. And stick to it. They will appreciate your commitment without distraction, and you will de-stress.

3. Keep your desk tidy. If you can't deal with something in two minutes, file it. Simple as that.

4. Tidy your email inbox. The same principle applies. If two minutes won't do it, then make a folder called 'to do' and do it later.

5. Do not, under any circumstances, work in your pyjamas.

6. Chunk your work time up into two hour slots, and then take a break. If that is too difficult, make it half an hour. But make that half an hour count.

7. Finally, let everyone you know who is incredibly pleased that you are at home (friend, family) know that you are working at home. They should understand what that means.

Working from home is liberating. But it is work. Remember that, and make it seem like a work day, and then you will enjoy it, rather than begin to resent it.

Working From Home - How to Keep Your Focus Amid the Chaos!

Here's how to prevent "putting it off till tomorrow" and effectively never getting it done at all!

First you can certainly try to minimise distractions. But really this just doesn't happen! So this is what to do when you are up against it and you find yourself thinking "well I can always do it tomorrow...."

Because the answer to this is NO.....You cant! Because tomorrow you will be busy with something else. And that something else will also be essential and you can't put that off till the next day either.

You will get distracted. I guarantee it. Here are the real kickers when working from home:

First one: Free use of the internet. You sit down at your desk to work on your home business. And there's the world wide web just waiting for you to explore. No boss looking over your shoulder. No IT department (possibly!) monitoring what you are searching Google for. So you search away and before you know it 30 mins has gone by and you are behind on your schedule.

Not to worry you think, I'll catch up tomorrow..... NO!! You wont. Tomorrow you will have just as many important things to do.

When you use the internet for something other than what you should be for your home business. Write down how long and what you were searching for. This will make you (hopefully!) shock you into ditching this habit. Most of the time anyway!

Second one: Checking emails. ONLY check your emails when you have done what you need to FIRST. And then only touch an email once. Deal with it one way or another and move onto the next.

Third one: Personal phone calls. Be polite and just as if you had your boss in the next room after a quick chat say "I'm just at work at the moment can I call you back at lunch (or whenever)".

Fourth one: Not having a daily plan. Fatal for your home business not to do this. If you don't know what key tasks you are doing each day and when. You will not succeed. Your boss is YOU. So if you don't know what you are doing in your home business there isn't anyone else who does either. Plan, plan, plan and then stick to it.

The other million options for distractions: There are too many individual distractions that we all get to list them all. But one thing that helps with all of them is this:

Know what the job is you are doing. Know how long it takes. Go and do it. Then get away from the work part and celebrate.

I am by no means an attorney, but from what I have heard... if gambling is illegal in your state except for certain locations, then sitting at home at the computer is considered just like gambling at your friends house. However, from what I have heard, it is an issue for local law enforcement to deal with.

Well in the end it should all come down to your prefference's, what do you want out of your office? Do you want a big window overlooking your town, a lake, mountain's, etc? Hardwood flooring, or carpet's? Big or small?

For me personally, I like a moderately sized room with a window that allow's me to look outside when brainstorming (often the breeze help's). I want hardwood or tile flooring, so that I have the ability to move around on my office chair. Don't forget about your desk, you want something what has a lot of space for your writing, your computer monitor, etc.

Above is my job link I posted. I'm looking for some skilled and dedicated associates on a contingency basis. The pay is very high and it's a legit job (BBB A-) but I can't seem to get anyone reliable. Ppl treat this job like nothing. If they say they'll work they don't even call to say they have to reschedule, just completely blow me off.

I know a few people that do well with adwords and stuff, but those same people spend countless hours building web sites and tweaking them to drive traffic. They have dozens of sites and things. I think everyone has to do what works for them. I find that kind of thing tedious and boring.

I belong to a few communities, where they let you put those kind of ad codes on your pages, and so I did set some up long long time ago, just as a test. I get quite a lot of people to my pages, however, last time I logged into google to see how that was going, I had a "pool" of money there for them to pay me amounting to a whopping $12, I think they don't even send your money till you get to $100 or so.

I just MIGHT see a check from that mabye before I kick the bucket if I stick around another 10 years or so. I can't complain I didn't do any more then learn to set up the ads on a few sites and I don't spend a lot of time sending traffic there.

I personally have build a good income online over the years, but I'm the one they say does NOT exist. I'm a full time network marketer. Everyone has to find what works for them and I LOVE this industry. Not everyone does.

'Trojan' Software Extorts Money with Fake LegalThreat

RCMP fraud investigators are warning of a new variant of a malicious software "Trojan" that extorts money from users by claiming to deliver a message from law enforcement officials.

The Reveton Trojan, once downloaded and activated, causes computers to seize and display a fraudulent message purporting to come from the RCMP, CSIS, FBI or some other law-enforcement agency.

The first examples of the scam in Canada earlier this year purported to be from CSIS. After the computer freezes, a pop-up message appears saying the computer has been linked to the downloading of child pornography. It tells users they can unfreeze their computer by making a $100 payment through an online channel such as Ukash or PaySafe.

Daniel Williams, an RCMP officer with the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre in North Bay, Ont., said the scammers have now moved on from their original scenario.

"More recently they've been claiming that the illegal behaviour the consumer is accused of is downloading music," said Williams.

"The consumer's computer is locked, and they're being requested to send a fee of $100 by Ukash in order to have their computer freed up," said Williams.

Paying the fee doesn't free up the computer, which remains infected with malware. People whose computers are infected with the Trojan will need to find and remove the software or get a computer technician to assist them before the computer can resume operation.

Williams said that it might seem far-fetched that the RCMP would offer to unlock a child pornographer's computer in exchange for an internet payment of $100, but the scammers are counting on the initial shock of the criminal allegation to addle people's normal reasoning.

The Finland-based security firm F-Secure first identified the Reveton Trojan and said "ransomware" variations of it have been seen in Canada, the United States and across Europe.
